Petrean Fifty Plus Minus Reunion 1956-1965 |
The Petrean Fifty Plus/Minus Reunion started out as the Fifty Plus Reunion for all Petreans who had left school during or before 1962 which makes this the fifty year anniversary. Due to interest shown as well as the difficulty of finding Petreans of that era we have decided to open it up to being a reunion of all Petreans who left school up to and including 1965 - thus covering the first ten years of the schools existence.
Accordingly we are extending to you an invitation to join the event It would be great if you could attend. Spouses and partners will be welcome.

As part of our preparations, the Zimbabwe Triathlon Team had competed in the SA Triathlon Championships in Port Elizabeth earlier in the same month; this was invaluable in terms of team preparation and awareness. Zimbabwe had scored a record three Gold Medals at the SA Triathlon Champs in early March. Thus Triathlon Zimbabwe felt confident and excited prior to the champs.

Gosho Park Update March 2012 |
Animals All the animals in the Park seem to be doing well, but with the rains and long grass it has been impossible to count them. The two baby kudu, baby giraffe and baby wildebeest are doing well. The giraffes are being fed already (supplements) and the rest of the maintenance feeding will start in April when the Duncan applicators are active.

The Peterhouse community is deeply saddened at the sudden death of Dr David Hatendi (Grinham 71). David Tapuwa Hatendi (22 May 1953 - 12 March 2012) was born in Marondera, east of Harare, and was a pupil at Springvale School and then Peterhouse before studying at the University of Rhodesia (now the University of Zimbabwe), from which he graduated with a BSc (Sociology) in 1976. David was in fact the first black Rhodes Scholar from Zimbabwe in 1977. David served for many years on the Board of Governors of Peterhouse and Ruzawi, and his three children also attended Peterhouse. Our deepest condolences go to Angelina, their three children, and to the Hatendi family. His funeral will be at the Peterhouse Chapel, Marondera, on Thursday 15 March at 11am.
